Think for a moment. In the year 1517 Martin Luther penned down 95 theses against the roman catholic church which sparked the beginning of the Protestant Reformation. Since then the world has seen innovations like the paper currency, the light bulb, steel, the steam engine, electric light just to name a few. Then in the 1800s leading towards the present we saw the first plane fly, fought two world wars, discovered the computer, discovered the internet etc. while all these have been going on in the world, the church of God has adapted to these trends, learned how to use these new inventions to make their livelihoods better. However, I wish we could say the same for the spiritual side of things. Since the birth of the Protestant movement and the establishment of the modern day understanding of scripture, there has really been very little to add even though the world has moved on the church is stuck with the gospel as handed down from the 1800s. one day I had a conversation with a lady who was complaining about the state of dilapidation church affairs in recent times compared to the 70s and 80s. so I responded to her with these words. The church is failing because they are trying to use an old gospel to save a 21st-century world. it's like trying to run commercial aviation using the plane discovered by the Wright brothers. you all know that cannot work. so why does the church think they can save this world with this old Gospel with no new revelation for the 21st-century modern man? When I say this I do not mean restructuring the church organization because all that is out of the spiritual core of the Christian faith. I am talking about coming up with an entirely new revelation for this generation that will wow the world and put the church on the modern day map again. if I say this some will say god said no one should add to his word. That is very true. However, on one hand, I am not talking of teaching away from the Bible, I am talking about being able to get God's revelation from that same bible that will change everything forever. On the other hand, when God said no one should add to his word did he say even him cannot add to his own word? So do you want to say even God is banned from revealing anything new to this church generation? Therefore the church will keep complaining and lagging behind the world until they seek and find a new revelation and power that will meet the demands of salvation for this generation. let's pray: That your people will find you at the level where you want them to find you so you can show them a new level of your wisdom and knowledge and a mighty power to mush your will forward in Jesus name
